I founded Pott in 2020 (a lockdown hobby!) with an idea to make beautiful, artisan and refillable candles and the rest is history!
Our Rosa scent always feels nostalgic to me - it was one of the first scents we created back when I was creating them at home from the kitchen table. We have a rose bush outside the kitchen and it always reminds me of walking outside and smelling the roses. The photography we use actually uses some of the roses from this too! It is not a scent we have available all the time, but i love it when we bring it back in small batch runs and it takes me straight back to the kitchen table.
I love cooking, especially during this time of year because it feels like we are beginning to have fresh flavours again after a lot of winter hibernation! I have been trying desperately to keep all my herbs alive during winter so I am really happy that they are starting to look fresh and healthy again and so I am cooking anything that I can find a use for them for!
I work with amazing independent potters across the UK to create artisan candles that are made to be refilled again and again with custom candle refills, which smell amazing!
I love Heather! I love the depth of colour in it and the speckles that come through the glaze. I also love the delicate nature of the top of the Pott where the glaze sort of cracks and creates a really beautiful effect. It was the third Pott colour we ever launched and it has a special place in my heart.
A lot of my inspiration for Pott comes from the change in seasons. I love creating new scents that our customers can refill their Potts with, especially when they align with seasonal moments. Our latest scent is Almond which I think will be amazing for Easter and spring. I grew up in the countryside, so you will often see a lot of inspiration from my childhood, whether that is things from the garden or long walks or scents from things cooking up in the kitchen.
It may be spring but Christmas is at the forefront of my mind! I am currently finalising our Christmas collection and have just received the latest samples of our Christmas glaze and new scents. I can’t wait to see our customers' reaction to this collection!
I love collaborating with new potters and brands who add their own twist to our classic Pott. I am so excited for our summer collection as we have some new collaborations that are completely different to what we have done before.
I hope people will appreciate that they have a beautiful Pott candle that will carry them through the seasons.
Our latest collaboration with Steve Brown on The Shino Pott is my current go to Pott. I love how the Shino glazing and firing technique makes each Pott truly unique.
For a scent, Tonka is a longstanding favourite however, I do love our new seasonal scent Almond. It is a rich almond scent that is perfect for Easter.
As we enter into Spring, I love the longer and lighter days that I can enjoy with friends and family. I am looking forward to the long Easter weekend which I will spend with my family in Derbyshire. I am planning to bake a traditional Simnel Cake for the family and will of course be burning our Almond candle alongside it.
It may be a typical answer (and even more so for someone who founded a candle brand) but I genuinely enjoy coming home and lighting a candle. I love how it can instantly create a relaxing atmosphere that allows me to unwind from the day.
